What is RSS?
Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a lightweight XML format designed for sharing headlines and other Web content. Think of it as a distributable "What's New" for your site.
RSS readers are software applications that make keeping up with your favorite news fast and easy. Instead visiting a site's home page to see if there's any cool new content, you can simply instruct your RSS reader to go check those sites regularly for any update. The reader will automatically pull down headlines and story summaries right to your desktop – without having to run a browser or surf the 'net.
How do I access RSS?
News Aggregators (also called news readers) will download and display RSS feeds for you. A number of free and commercial News Aggregators are available for download.
