With certified professionals in 47 countries, the Sniffer® Certified Professional Program (SCPP) provides a reliable measurement of an individual's skill level and knowledge of networking technologies and Network General™ products. SCPP increases individual and workgroup productivity levels, helps managers identify the most qualified technical professionals, and aids in defining employee skills development and training paths.
Three SCPP Certification Levels
There are three levels of certification in the program. The first level is designed to test your knowledge in the use of the Sniffer Network Analyzer. The second and third levels evaluate an individual's knowledge of various networking technologies.

Sniffer Certification Exam Preparation
To assist the certification candidate to prepare for Sniffer Certification, we have provided exam guides, sample exams (SE 1T6-xxx) that will help the candidate become familiar with the testing process, and practice exams (PE 1T6-xxx) that are designed to help the candidate study for the exam. The practice exams simulate the actual Sniffer Certified Professional Program certification exam. The price of each practice exam is $25. These are listed in the table below.

Sniffer Certification Exam Registration

Certification Requirements:
- Sniffer Certified Professional – Complete this exam
- 1T6-510 – Troubleshooting with Sniffer Portable™ / Sniffer Distributed™
- Sniffer Certified Expert – Complete the above plus any two topics
- Sniffer Certified Master – Complete the above plus any three topics
Comptia Security
You may apply the successful completion of the Comptia Security exam towards the Sniffer Certified Master (SCM) certification. The Security exam will count as one of the three required electives. For details on preparation for this exam please review the information found on the Comptia web site.
