About the SCPP Certified Directory
The SCPP Certified Directory lists Sniffer® Certified Professionals holding the following certifications: Sniffer Certified Professional (SCP), Sniffer Certified Expert (SCE), and Sniffer Certified Master (SCM).

Candidates who earn these credentials have demonstrated a level of competency with Sniffer Technologies software by passing the required examinations.

Please note that only candidates who have voluntarily returned a completed Certification Information Release form are included in the directory.

How to Add Your Name
Sniffer Certified Professionals who wish to add their names to this prestigious listing may download and complete the Certification Information Release Form. Candidates are welcome to add a brief biography to their certification directory listing. Certification Information Release Forms and brief biographies should be sent to: sniffercertification@networkgeneral.com. Please include, in the subject line, the phrase: ADD to Certified Directory.

The SCPP Certified Directory is updated during the first week of each month.

The Certified Network Expert (CNX) exam was originally released in 1992 and became a recognized standard in the protocol analysis industry. In 1992 Network General™ Corporation, parent of Sniffer University®, initiated and sponsored the original CNX Certification exams. As the result of open meetings held at Networld and Comnet that year, the founding members of the CNX Consortium came together to promote CNX certification. These companies included Network General (Sniffer University), Hewlett Packard, and Wandel & Goltermann. Over the next few years there were varying degrees of interest from other vendors and the consortium saw involvement from Cisco and the IBM TSS division. AG Group, Microtest, and Optimized Engineering Corporation also joined the CNX Consortium during this time.

Although the CNX Program is not an active Certification Program as of April 2, 2001, Network General and Sniffer University continues to honor CNX certified professionals.

To add or update your CNX information, email your Prometric registration number, your name, and the date you took the test, to sniffercertification@networkgeneral.com, and we will add you to the Alumni List. You may include a brief biography to go along with your listing.
