TRN-002-VCL: Basic Network Communications
This course provides a strong foundation to prepare students with key networking and troubleshooting concepts before attending either the “Network Analysis and Troubleshooting” course.  This course will help students recognize communications protocols, isolate network conversations and identify applications on their network. Students will review the role of network devices and services, and prioritize the most critical network communication problems. The emphasis is on understanding the basic activities that occur when devices communicate across the network.

TRN-004-VCL: Introduction to Voice over IP
The integration of voice and data across enterprise networks has created a much more complex environment to manage. This course will discuss the key aspects of a VoIP implementation as it relates to network performance and integration with other applications on the network. We will introduce some of the common protocols and discuss methods for identifying and resolving performance problems. In addition, we will discuss issues that network managers must understand before installing and configuring VoIP on the network.

TRN-101-VCL: Network Analysis and Troubleshooting (Virtual Classroom)
Network Analysis and Troubleshooting focuses on the tools and techniques used to effectively analyze network communications using the Sniffer Analyzer application and network management solution. Network managers and technicians supporting medium and large enterprise-wide networks will benefit from the training. Participants learn how to analyze, troubleshoot, and understand current networking technologies and apply networking best practices. Troubleshooting and analysis skills are reinforced through hands-on exercises and an interactive feature called “Try it now!” using condensed exercises to enhance critical skills and concepts.

TRN-181-VCL: Administration and Reporting with NetVigil (Five 1/2-day Sessions using Network General's Virtual eLearning Classroom)

This course will be presented in a “virtual classroom” with a live instructor over the course of five days.  The interactive online format will enable participants to receive the same content as our standard classroom course delivered to the desktop. 

Administration and Reporting with NetVigil focuses on using the NetVigil application in three key areas: Administration, Performance Management and Monitoring, and Fault Management.  Administrators and End-Users will benefit from this introductory course. Participants learn how to create Departments and customize Containers to easily test and monitor all network devices in real-time. Custom and Advanced Reports will help them monitor and manage network resources more effectively. Key concepts are reinforced through hands-on exercises and interactive “Try It Now!” labs.
