TRN-151-TCL: Management with Administrator (2 day course)
Management with Administrator focuses on the configuration of the Administrator appliance to control elements of your distributed network management environment. This two-day introductory course provides an in-depth look at the critical aspects of configuring and managing Sniffer Distributed, Sniffer InfiniStreamÖ, and Visualizer appliances in medium and large enterprise-wide networks. Participants learn how to identify and configure resources, perform automated software updates, manage authentication, and automate alarms to improve the performance of Sniffer Distributed in their network. In addition, students are introduced to the key features of the MultiSegment Intelligence product with a review of the functions of application analysis, MultiTier analysis, and the process of comparing trace files to identify network anomalies. TRN-152-TCL: Troubleshooting with MultiSegment Intelligence
Troubleshooting with MultiSegment Intelligence focuses on the capabilities of MSI to analyze network communications across multiple network segments and identify anomalies in application performance.  Participants learn how to create sessions that correlate trace data from different parts of the network then review the details to manage network resources more effectively. This one-day introductory course provides an in-depth look the methodology and the functions found within the MultiSegment Intelligence application to effectively manage medium and large enterprise-wide networks.  Key concepts are reinforced through hands-on exercises and interactive ôTry It Now!ö labs.

Reporting with Visualizer focuses on the reporting capabilities of the Visualizer application to provide short and long-term analysis of events in your network environment. TRN-171-TCL: Troubleshooting with InfiniStream (2 day course)
Troubleshooting with InfiniStream introduces networking professionals to Network GeneralÆs InfiniStream tool, which allows them to troubleshoot data traversing high-speed Gigabit and fast Ethernet networks. This two-day introductory course enables participants to maximize their investment in InfiniStream by teaching them to mine data efficiently and configure the engine to best suit their needs.

TRN-180-ECL: Network Management with NetVigil (2 hour self study)
Network Management with NetVigil focuses on using NetVigil as an end user with read/write access in a department.  End-Users will benefit from this two-hour introductory course presented using self-study modules. Participants learn how to navigate key areas of NetVigil and are introduced to troubleshooting devices and tests, Containers, and Event Manager.

This course is a 2-3 hour self-paced course that includes recorded sessions, a student manual, and guided hands-on labs focused on key aspects of NetVigil critical to the effective use of the product. The student will be presented with concepts and encouraged to perform hands-on exercises to support the learning process

TRN-181-TCL: Administration and Reporting with NetVigil (3 day course)
Administration and Reporting with NetVigil focuses on using the NetVigil application in three key areas: Administration, Performance Management and Monitoring, and Fault Management.  Administrators and End-Users will benefit from this three-day introductory course. Participants learn how to create Departments and customize Containers to easily test and monitor all network devices in real-time. Custom and Advanced Reports will help them monitor and manage network resources more effectively. Key concepts are reinforced through hands-on exercises and interactive ôTry It Now!ö labs.

TRN-182-ECL: Performance Management and Monitoring with NetVigil (2 hour self study)
Performance Management and Monitoring with NetVigil focuses on using NetVigil to report on application performance.  End-Users will benefit from this introductory course as they learn how to display key information about their applications and server performance to create useful reports for ongoing monitoring that will help them monitor and manage network resources more effectively.

This course is a 2-3 hour self-paced course that includes recorded sessions, a student manual, and guided hands-on labs focused on key aspects of NetVigil critical to the effective use of the product. Fault Management with NetVigil focuses on using NetVigil to identify devices that are not active or have been intermittent over some period of time.  End-Users will benefit from this introductory course as they learn how to quickly display key information about applications and servers in the network and to create useful reports that will help them manage network resources more effectively.

NetVigil End User Training focuses on using NetVigil as an end user with read/write access in a department.  End-Users will benefit from this one day introductory course presented through lecture and hands-on techniques. Participants learn how to navigate key areas of NetVigil and are introduced to troubleshooting devices and tests, Containers, and Event Manager. TRN-333-TCL: Dashboard to Packet (2 day course)
Dashboard to Packet focuses on how to use the management and reporting products available from Network General to identify problems or issues at a high level and then show how to dig deeper into the data stream to isolate the root cause.  The course will highlight Administrator, Visualizer, and NetVigil, along with Sniffer Distributed and InfiniStream agents as we examine, analyze, and dissect Windows networking components from a field technicianÆs perspective.   Troubleshooting and analysis skills are reinforced through hands-on exercises and an interactive feature called ôTry it now!ö using condensed exercises to enhance critical skills and concepts.
